Hey people!
Yeah, sugarcane is finally blogging! Cause…
There are finally some like events for my to blog a decent post! Ahahaha~

Ok, so on 4th to 5th July, I went for the chinese music and cultural club freshmen orientation camp! With ginger!
But sadly, we were separated into different groups… D=
Kinda expected la… The purpose of camp is to let you meet new people right? And if you have friend in your own group that would defeat the purpose…

Ok, before I continue on the camp, I realised that people have mistaken cmcc… People thought it’s about chinese TRADITIONAL music and all the boring chinese cultures, but actually, it’s about chinese POP music! It’s actually a very very music club! They offer like keyboard lessons, vocal lessons, drum lessons, acting lessons blah blah blah! So you see, it’s not as boring as most people tend to see it as!
Which is sad for them, cause they missed a chance to join a seemingly (to me =p) awesome club

Anyway, initially I thought the camp would be like all about music, like we would learn some things, but actually it’s just like any other camp, games games and games…

The beginning is like real boring, just some ice breaking games, think of group name, group cheer and design group flag (which is now behind my butt =p).
Was a little disappointed in the beginning….

Then it’s amazing race, which is damn tiring considering how bloody big sp is. But quite okay.

Ahhh, then, it’s the crime scene investigation aka CSI, which is fun! So we were given a case to work on, a murder case, ahaha~
Then there were 4 suspects. We need to go to the different stations and ask the suspect at the station two questions. The questions must be yes/no question, and cannot be too obvious, if not the suspect won’t answer and you waste one question.

And of course you won’t just be asking questions there. There will be scary factors to scare you! Ahaha, damn funny!
Like, for example, the first station, the suspect sits in the middle of the dark lecture room and gives a damn dead face. Then when we go in front to ask him question, he goes like “为什么，为什么” softly, then just suddenly “为什么！！” loudly and scared one of the girls! Damn funnnyyy!! Ahaha~
Then after that, this “ghost” comes out from a door and screams, and goes back in. Ahaha, this one ah, nobody got scared or what, people hardly give her attention! Lol, poor “ghost”!

Then we went to theatre @ moberly to ask the third suspect, and she had to act in front of a whole lot of people cause there is another camp going on there! And she acted real well! I can only say, cmcc is full of very good and professional actors and actresses! Thumbs up! Ahaha~

The last station we went to is the crime scene, W4/5, damn scary, but funny also, ahaha~

Then, we had to start thinking and preparing for our performance for that night’s concert! We decided to do a short skit. It’s basically about tiao dang, the 神 go into this person’s body and people ask the person for advices blah blah blah. Damn funny when they are rehearsing! Too bad we have to cut down on our hokkien, if not, it will be damn funny even if you don’t really understand what they are saying!
There are two groups of people asking for advice, one is like a grandma and granddaughter, the other is one girl and one guy which switched body.

The girl and guy switched body one damn funny! They were like describing the physical changes to the “神” ! Then the guy say “我的下面hor, 突然多了一条虫leh!”, and the girl say “我下面两粒transfer到上面来leh!” AHAHAHA!
And ah, they thought of the lines themself you know?! Omg, the girl damn daring! AHAHA!

Just in case you are curious, I act as the cameraman cause it’s supposed to be like a news report. So, my line is like “5, 4, 3, 2, 1 action!” and throughout the rest of the skit I am just holding my camera (which actually is my arm) =D

Then after that, we made our way to the chalet at east coast park! =D
Shared a room with another group, and they shared ghost stories for almost the entire night you know?! Lol~
Make me like, damn scared when I was bathing you know? I keep 胡思乱想-ing when I was bathing! I usually take a long time to bathe (like 30mins) but I think I came out in less than 15mins that day!
Also, after those who have a lot of ghost stories to share ran out of them, a senior actually gave a mini vocal lesson to the few of us who are still awake! Ahahaha, win already! She initially wanted us to sing so that she can give us advices on how to improve, but when she asked me to sing, she got distracted by some guy (thank god) and TA-DA, I didn’t sing! WHOOOOOO~ Ahahaha~

In the end, I only slept for 2hours, right beside the door somemore. Which actually means throughout the night while I was awake, I keep having to open the door for those who want to come in, and it’s like after a while there will be people knocking, damn irritating! But that’s not the worst, the worst is those that ge kiang, try to open the door themselves through the window. Imagine you are in the middle of a ghost story and suddenly you turn and see a hand sticking out from the window! Oh man, I rather they just knock and let me open the door for them!

So the second day… Nothing much la…

Heeheee, anyway, our group came in third for banner design, third for the performance, and third for the overall! WHOOOOO~~~

Oh, and no pictures cause my pictures are in my sis’ old phone and it refuses to on and let me transfer, so, too bad! D=

Random + Chocolate day

Heyyyyy people!

I am in this random mood of blogging but don’t know what to blog about and am too lazy to upload the photos again =D

So…. It’s the third week of school already! And it’s pretty much the same!

But hmm, I think things are getting better between my classmates and I I guess. At least I made an effort to talk more… Don’t really have any mood swings this week YET, so it’s good! =D

Ok, so I decided to upload some photos in the end. Actually, this windows live writer I am using now to blog uploads photo wayyy easier than blogger! And I can change the fonts of the post at will! Awesome! =D

Ok, shall stop, also not like I am not advertising for this thing.

On 19th March, went to suntec with Keller and ah ma for royce chocolates! This is my first time going out with that bad xmm! =D

On the way back to mrt after getting our chocolates and lunch at subway, we went past this pretty stationery shop that ah ma wanted to go in see see look look.

Pretty right? Everything in there is like damn pretty and damn cute! But at the same time, it’s all damn ex! x.x

If it’s not ex, I guess you will see three girls walking out of the shop with lots of stuffs! D= Alamak, if I have the money I will buy the whole shop down!!! Will I sound weird if I say I wanna live in there? =p

Then, we went into Hershey’s!

And we went all high and crazy in there! CAUSE IT’S SUPER YUMMY LOOKING CHOCOLATES EVERYWHERE!!!

Oh god, if one day a new research finds out that chocolates can be taken in large quantities, and we will not grow fat because of chocolates, I am freaking sure all the girls will buy chocolates like no tomorrow!

Ok, not sure for all, but at least it applies to me! =p Oh, that is provided I have money la! =p

I forgot who suggested that Keller do this, but ah ma was very shocked when Keller really did it! Ahahaha~ To say in a nice way, it’s brave, but to be blunt, it’s 丢脸！=p

We bought this chocolate syrup there to use when we meet at Keller’s house for some cookies baking! I tell you, I WANTED THAT FREAKING SYRUP FOR FREAKING LONG ALREADY!

But I didn’t manage to find it. Ok, I didn’t really find, I was waiting for it to appear at some shop, and I will grab it. =p

After buying, we were like super happy can!! Like so long never felt so happy and excited and like a little girl already!

Bag exchanging session at city hall platform! Somewhere in front of the escalator! Win already yo!

Yoyo, sugarcane in the house! Ahaha, so hiphop-ish! Must be infected by ah ma who dressed like some hip hop meimei that day! =p

Was bored one day, and decided to play with my phone’s photo-editing tools, and TA-DA! Good good?

Ok, actually I did nothing much, just added that thingy, hehe. Oh, poor ah ma =p

Vic’s birthday surprise!

On 17th MArch, which is one day before vic’s birthday, we happy plants gave our dear only-6-years-old potato a surprise!

So the plan is like this… Cause we always play badminton on thursdays, so we made it like just another badminton outing. aloe, ah ma and carrot will say that they are not coming (but in fact they are coming), while ginger, ah bu and i will still be going.

Ah bu and i will still meet vic at jp like usual, then we go jw stadium like usual again, and meet ginger there straight (still) like usual.

Basically, we are trying to make everything “like usual”, if not she will suspect ma~

Aloe, yx and ah ma on the other hand, met earlier at jp to buy the cake and went to stadium before we reach. They will book the court and hide somewhere near the court so that when we come, they will spring a surprise on vic!

Get it get it????

However, the surprise was pretty much a failure because our blur aloe actually sms-ed something like “when you guys reach sms me” to vic, when it is supposed to be sent to me (oh my, when will people stop mixing us up? D=) and when she is “not coming”!

Lol~ And vic went around showing ah bu and i the sms! i was sooo shocked when i see the sms! i had no idea how to react! Then i just keep saying aloe must have something wrong up there =pp

Then when we are walking to the stadium, i am supposed to sms aloe where we are. while sms-ing i was so like, nervous?? When vic came to me and asked what i am doing, i totally got a shock! My heart beats like crazy then! If i didn’t guess wrongly, i think my face turned red… It always do when my heart beats a little faster…

Oh my, i am such a bad liar! d=

As our dear carrot needs to go soon, we decided to quickly just take a group photo! =D

First one fail cause my head is blocked by ah ma’s, and second one fail cause the naughty little (ok, she is not that little in terms of size! So tall! *jealous*) ginger is hiding!

Poly

My hands are itchy to write a blog post but yet I feel a little lazy so this post will be just a short post consisting of random thoughts regarding poly…

Ok, so poly started like two days ago…

The difference in poly and secondary school is actually not that big. Just classes are now called lectures (and there may be other classes joining for the lesson), homeworks are now called tutorials (I feel VERY cheated for this!) and you can wear your home clothes??

Oh, not forgetting that you have to travel from classes to classes instead of sitting happily on your seat and slacking while waiting for the next teacher to come… What’s more, sp is like so freaking big and NOT every building have lift. So there are a lot more walking and climbing of stairs in poly as compared to secondary…

Let’s not forgetting having to figure our way to our classrooms too… I am SUPER grateful for the map our personal tutor (like form teacher. I seriously have no idea why they call them “personal” tutor when the whole damn class is sharing the same person) printed for us!

Anyway, my anti-social problem seems to be having a bigger effect on me in poly as compared to in seconday. Somehow after orientation, I think that maybe I am more than quiet…

It’s like I am the quietest in my class, and it’s filled with people I don’t know in the beginning… I always thought that people like, becomes more sociable and open in poly as compared to secondary. But it seems like I am the opposite. I sort of becomes even more conserved, I think I talk like maximum 10 lines to a classmate, and I don’t know why…

At least I do take the initiative to approach people and start making friends in primary and secondary school (according to zhenqi who said I actually approached her! Wow, I am amazed by myself actually…). Looks like my anti-socialness grows with age. Awesome.

Sometimes I really wish to like, just talk more, be as crazy and talkative I am with plants, but I just can’t. Something wrong with me??? I think I can enrol into an autism school already.

Ok, maybe not.

Ohohoh! Another difference! Poly usually do not have textbooks, we have super thick lecture notes instead! Ahaha! Actually it’s good in a sense, cause they are still thinner than normal tb, and are definitely cheaper!

And studying in poly is like super ex! Need this need that, and all so ex! x.x

Also, I don’t understand why some girls can bring like sling bags or those really small/cannot withstand weight bags to school! The weight of the lecture notes are enough for me to stick to my super-dirty-and-used-since-sec-3 bag! And what if you need to bring lappy? Can die from the weight man! What’s more, YOU HAVE TO CARRY ALL THAT WEIGHT AND GO FROM ONE CLASS TO ANOTHER FOR THE WHOLE DAY!

Ohohohoh! Speaking of whole day, juniors, be SUPER glad that you dismiss at 1.30pm. To be able to go home at 1.30 is like a luxury to us! Out of 5 days, 3 days can only go home at 5/6pm. And lessons start at 8am/9am. Still have to wake up that early. Damn it!

Okok, this is getting too long! I still have tutorial to do! Oh gosh!

New Hair!

Hi people!

Didn’t update my blog for close to two weeks already! I am feeling super lazy recently…

So, today, sugarcane is gonna blog about her new haircut, and hairdye, on 6th april, which is actually last wednesday! =D

I dyed my hair in the morning, so hair dye first!

Before I start, let me flood you with my “before” pictures. Don’t worry, there won’t be much of my face… Mostly my hair.

And don’t expect lots of word, I am still feeling lazy…

Can’t really capture the colour well… Oh well!

Couldn’t find my mum’s protective covering which I used in my last hair dye, so I had to use newspapers as a replacement… That explains my sad face… D=

And in case you find my eyes weird, it’s because my damn right eye was SWOLLEN that day… =.= That made my already small eyes even smaller. Thanks ah!

The mess…

This table like become the “hairdye” table for me already! Both times I used this table and even when I help yx dye her hair!

And…

TA-DA! Ok, I know, I look damn weird… But this is like the only dyed-but-haven’t-cut picture I have… D=

After dying, ah ma suggested that we go cut our hair after her polyclinic appointment! Soo, being the forever on sugarcane (k, not really…), I agreed! =DDD

Went to this trusted salon of hers near her neighbourhood to get our haircut! I initially had a little communication problem with the guy but I am glad he took the initiative to like, double confirm what I want by showing me some pictures before cutting. *phew*

He initially thought I want, like front short back long or back short front long, I can’t remember exactly. Heng he verified with me, cause I just wanted it to be the same length. Maybe sounds a bit mushroom, but it’s safest!

And he was like a bit sad when I refuse to cut my fringe. I think he thinks it’s better if I cut bangs, and he was like “你真的不要剪啊？” Ahahaha~

He was quite good la, he helped me to blow my hair to make it curl inwards! Without me requesting or even mentioning about it! =DDDDDD This part I super happy about it!

Okok, enough about it! Now it’s time for me to flood you (once again) with the “after” pictures! I looked weird still (I think I looked weird the whole day thanks to my eyes…), but you can’t deny that my hair is cute! =p

Baohui’s birthday surprise!

On 14th March (8 days after baohui’s birthday), we plants (except laopo) planned to give our oldest plant a birthday surprise!

So, on the previous night, we lied to ah bu that we will have badminton on monday (14th), so that she will not expect this.

Our plan is to surprise her at her house before 1pm (the time we set to meet at jp for “badminton”)

We met at around 11.45am at jp to buy the birthday cake and candles! Had to round around to find the candles because polar only gave us like one candle, and our plan is to make the cake look like….

THIS!

Went to a few places and found the candles at this Japan zha-pe-lang shop. Damn cheap, 20+ for like 60cents, ahaha.

After buying the candles, we made our way to ah bu’s house!

Identified her house and went one storey lower to prepare.

We then proceeded on to stick the candles, which are quite a lot! Ahaha!

Then, we lighted the candle.

It was actually rather difficult to light the candles because of the number and the wind! Ah ma scorched herself, if I didn’t remember wrongly…

While ah ma, aloe and vic are busy with the candles and zhenqi busy with taking pictures, I noticed something… (did you realise that someone is missing?)

Yes! It’s our carrot! Lol~ I wonder what she is doing…

Ok, back to candles.

By this time, (I think) zhenqi has already went up to prepare to knock on baohui’s door!

When the candles are all lighted, we went up to hide.

I think none of us expected the fire to be THIS big! Guess we know why the candles are cheap…

As we are unable to see what is happening (need to hide), and due to a small miscommunication, there was a slight delay after baohui opened the door.

Initially, we are thinking of like, once baohui opens the door, we will present her the cake and sing her happy birthday song! But because ah ma thought aloe will signal to her whether it’s baohui who opened the door and aloe did not, so, lol.

After that, ah bu opened the door to let us in! =D

Because I failed to capture her surprised face, I decided to compensate for that, by taking LOTS of her unglam photos! =D

Lol, she damn scary la, holding her knife like that! Some more where got people use 菜刀 to cut cake one?! Ahaha!

Oh, and she looks like she cut ah ma’s hand in this picture! =p

Ah ma spotted some wax on the cake and decided to be kind and help baohui remove them!

But…

And the poor doraemon literally sinked into the cake!!!

And ah bao’s reaction?

Apparently she is very happy about it. =p

Cut the cake into 8 slices. I can never get over how big happy plants is. =D

The green tea ah bao’s mum poured for us! The cup is so unique!

Tried the “legendary” kimchi, which ah bao did at her cooking lesson!

It’s… Not nice…

To me la, I just don’t like it. I tried the kimchi at the korean stall near my house, and the verdict remains. I guess I generally do not like kimchi…

But still, ah bu’s kimchi is not nice! =p

Toppled cake! Lol, our plan initially was to buy a small cake for ah bu to enjoy on her own. But she decided to like let us have a slice each! Lol~

We were so pai seh when we eat the cake. Cause it’s supposed to be ah bu’s. Hers alone…

After that, we left ah bao’s house and walked to jp for neoprints! While walking…

The honeys refused to run to catch the traffic light, so they had to wait for another round! But I think they are very happy to do so la, 二人世界 for them, ahaha!

Lol, tell you something really funny! I took this picture through the machine’s camera/screen. Ah bu saw it and tried to stop me by covering my phone. But the problem is, she is covering the front of my phone, not my phone camera, and definitely not the machine’s camera! Ahahaha!

After that, we went to kopitiam to have our lunch!

Ah bu, ah wan and ah qi ordered this breakfast set that comes with the half-boiled egg.

Ah bu and ah wan damn funny! They like first time eat half-boiled egg! Lol, they like so blur, don’t know what to do with the egg! Ahahaha~

Anyway, kopitiam’s half-boiled eggs also quite fail de lor. Just look at ah bu’s eggs above, like more than 70% cooked already!

Cleaning auntie ah wan stacking all the plates, cups etc into one tray! Lol~

K la, give you credits for being considerate! =p

After the lunch, ah wan, ah vic, ah ma, ah xiang, ah bu and I took bus back to hua yi to collect their SGC.

I actually collected already, but since hua yi is within walking distance from my house, I decided to join them!

While ah bu is waiting for Mdm Keh, we met Mr Lim and crapped a lot with him. Mr Leow joined in the fun too, ahahaha!

Ate lunch at KFC with ah ma before going back!

Wanted to order shrooms burger meal like usual, but now it becomes one of the snackers… =.=

So we had to choose the best alternative, the ultimate value box.

I have always preferred KFC over Mac because it’s nice and CHEAP!

But now?

My favourite cheapo meal is gone! And everything SHRINKED in size! DD=

21st Feb 11.

Ate lunch with dad at Cafe Cartel! =D

As stupid as we may sound, we actually ALWAYS remember cafe cartel for their bread!

The first time we went there to eat, we fell in love with the bread!

Yes, THE BREAD!

It is arguably one of the best breads I have tasted so far! =D

There was once we went there to eat, and whenever the bread comes out, it will be snatched away soon!

Then we are waiting for the fresh bread to come out, and we keep staring at the bread counter! =p

The funniest is my daddy noticed that the people at another table is staring at the bread counter too! Ahaha!

When the fresh bread comes out, we will like “CHIONG AH!” =P

And we would dip the bread into the soup! Yums! =D

Mine! =D Don’t you find that egg familiar?? Ahahaha!

The dessert included in the set lunch! (the set lunch is $9.50 NETT and includes free flow of bread, drinks, main dish, soup and dessert! Super worth! =D)

We knew that the dessert would be something like this, cause afterall we only paid $9.50 for all of these!

Went NATAS travel fair to look for taiwan tours.

*sigh* 又泡汤了！

Looks like I am not fated to take the plane…

Sec 3 had to compete for a chance to go to Japan, and had to squeeze dry our brain juice for the damn presentation, but because of H1N1, the ones that went is the 2010 batch of Sec 3s…

Now, want go taiwan, but had to cancel because of the nuclear threat in Japan (I hope it will get better! x.x)…

Anyway, back to the picture.

Went back Hua Yi to take SGC with ginger!

Ate lunch at hua yi, hehe!

Although we always complain about hy canteen’s food (mostly for its limited variety), but we will still miss it a little, cause we don’t get to eat there all the time now! =p

Anyway, normally I order 菜饭 I will order two veggies or one veggies one egg, cause save money ma!

But don’t know why that day I had the urge to order the super tempting looking chicken (hehe, I managed to tempt zhenqi to buy one!), so I ordered! =p

9th March 11.

Went polyclinic with ah ma!

Was waiting for the doctor alone because the damn polyclinic separated ah ma and I.

I got bored, so I took the above picture and the rest! =p

Had to keep waiting for this number to appear that day!

10th March 11.

First ever badminton trip with only three plants! (ah ma, ah qi and ah sugar =p)

Was on this bus which I find rather unusual!

Was going around, reading the things around the stadium while waiting for the two plants and saw it!

I think I a bit something wrong up here, I remembered seeing Mass communications….

Die, must be with ah bu for too long, wires start to connect wrongly already! x.x

Hehe, because we didn’t bring shuttlecocks, we decided to search for remaining shuttlecocks in the hall!

And this is the number of shuttlecocks we found there! =D

But sadly, not all shuttlecocks have the “feel” =p

Hehe, still the 10th of March.

Ants invaded my empty plate and I decided to kill them the drowning way. =x

Went orchard with ah ma and yx! =D

Yx’s hands flooded with flower rings, which most of which I had to squeeze into my fingers! D=

In case you are wondering why yx is touching her “there”, her shirt has this flowery lace around there, so we thought like flower rings with flowery lace…

12th March 11.

Went to IT fair, and had to lug all these back from suntec in bus! Ahaha.

Anyway you don’t have to start the “wa, so rich” thingy, cause most of them are for RC, not for us.

It’s not a gift, my dad will claim the money back.

The only thing I got is a 500GB Toshiba hard disk!

Lol, I initially only wanted like a 8GB/16GB thumbdrive, but my dad keeps psycho-ing me to buy an external hard disk!

Haha, good also la. No need thumbdrives anymore! =p

Just the sad thing is, I can’t get the colour I want…

After that, we decided to try this new korean cuisine stall at the coffee shop near our house, which even ah bu tried already.

My dad went crazy and asked me to order this much when it’s only the two of us eating!

The auntie I ordered from was like so shocked!

The steamed egg actually comes with a bowl of rice, but the auntie see us ordered so much she asked if we want the rice and I said no.

Not because I don’t have the space for it (I ate most of them, my dad only took a few mouthfuls of the korean food, and I don’t exactly feel full), but because I don’t want to eat too much.

Now thinking of it, I should’ve said yes lor.

Went past this coffee shop near Jurong Spring CC.

Went to huayi mama shop with ah ma to reminisce the good old maggi days!

Lol, somehow it’s like quite stupid for us to go there just to eat lunch. =p

But… Very long never eat already leh!

Like sooo damn long ago!

Went back to polyclinic cause I ran out of medicine.

Wasted trip man. Cause we (ah ma accompanied me! =D) waited so long, and all I get is that it’s already a scar… *sigh*

HY concert'11

On 26th Feb 2011, ah ma, vic, aloe and I went to Hua Yi 55th anniversary concert, Tapestry of Ties.
Seriously, I wonder why they use such chim name...
In the end most people would just refer it as hua yi's public concert or HY 55th anniversary concert, as seen on fb albums =p

Anyway, I did a dictionary search on "tapestry", but it was too chim for my understanding... D=
Cultural Night is like so much straight forward and better! Lol~

Ok, so I met ah ma and vic at lakeside mrt and took mrt to clementi!
Ate mos burger there (hehe, even ah ma thinks ebi rice burger is nice!) and while eating, aloe called and say she is coming!
Yayyyyy~

Walked to clementi bus interchange, took bus 96 and started counting bus stops like big time noobies (only ah ma and I, the honeys are busying honey-ing).
To make sure we reach UCC in one piece, ah ma and I went to google on how to go there and etc!
Ah ma even printed the map out!Wooo~
Like so singaporean, kia si! =p

We had to rush there a little, cause ah ma wants to take a picture with her percussion girls before they go back to the backstage.

This is the damn crowd when it's only around 6 and the concert starts at bloody 7pm!

I spotted quite a lot wearing heels and putting piles of makeup on them!
*sigh* Now the juniors ah.... Becoming hiao-er and hiao-er...

Actually I don't really have much rights to say them, cause I am hiao myself...
Just, the age at which they start hiao-ing...

When the door opens, we went in and found a seat near the stage

After sitting there for some time, ah ma called and told us to go to the second level, which krisha told us to!
When queuing, I went up to see if we can seat on the second level, but there are like barriers outside the doors, so I thought we cannot.
Cheat my feelings!

We left our seat and got ourselves seats at the 2nd level!

We once thought of changing to one of the seats shown here, but somehow we went back to our original seat after the break.

I thought this was just an decoration or something, until I overheard vic saying that it may, like at the end of the concert, release balloons down to where the audiences are!

The two poor juniors who have to crap all the nonsense behind their conscience.

Anyway, I thought that the band was great!
Except for the rushing and the screwed solos....

I seriously think band has like the second shortest performing time among the performing groups lor!
This is no good, NO GOOD!

As much as I wished for band to be the best performance so that people will start complaining how little our performing time is, I think I have to admit dance is the best...

Nvm, band is still second best!
And you can't deny that BAND ROCKS!! Wooo~

Then it's break time!
Went to the toilet and had a photo-taking session before we went back into the hall!

We were initially wondering how we are going to take a group photo, and because we are at this quiet corner, there are no one to help us or nothing to put the camera and set timer etc.
Then we decided to just try take, with me holding the camera far far.
I thought it will not work, but IT WORKED!
Ahahahah~ I am awesome~ =p

Some band juniors were very high during the finale when all the performers come out onto the stage.
They even did a HYCB wave! Lol~

After the concert, we went to the entrance to wait for our dear little juniors!

Have to wait so long in the ulu NUS (it's like 10 plus in the night then) and have to squeeze like pancake in the bus... =.=

ALOE'S FINGERS!

CA duty

Hi people!!
Sugarcane is gonna blog about her first ever CA (Conservation Ambassador) duty she did on Sunday together with carrot and aloe! =D

In case you don't know, being a CA is a kind of volunteer work.
Yes, we don't get paid.

Our duty is to spread the conservation message for the particular animal we are doing for that day!

For my first duty, I decided to do on my favourite animal in the zoo, RHINOS!!!
=D=D=D=D=D=D=D
They are damn cute!!

I don't know why, I have never found rhinos cute, until I saw them in real on the first CA training!
And I fell in love with them~ =D

Because we didn't do any duty for the past 4 months, we decided to clear two duties in one day!
Each duty lasts 2 hours.

We are supposed to approach visitors at the exhibit and ask like "do you wanna know more about rhinos?"
Then we start throwing them all the information we memorised! =p

But the problem is....
I am anti-social.
Plants all know, and some even call me to be more sociable!!
I REFUSE TO! *ROAR*

Yes, I am proud to be anti-social although it will not really benefit me in any way.
But I just am! I don't usually take the initiative to talk to people.
Except when my friends are around, or I am hyper that day...

Therefore, for the morning duty, I spent almost all of my time looking at my cute rhinos and watching visitors come in and out of the exhibit...
There are quite a lot of the visitors will STARE at either my CA t-shirt (It's bloody striking LIME GREEN!) or my name tag...
See what see? Never see CA before issit?! Sua ku! *ROAR*

And there are a lots of zoo workers passing by the rhino exhibit.
Whenever they pass by, I would worry that they would complain saying that I am slacking cause I am not approaching anyone...
But after that, I don't give a damn.
老娘就是anti-social, 你有意见啊？！

After that, wanyi came and ask me to go join her at the zebra exhibit!
Actually, we are not supposed to have two CAs doing on animal, but heck care!
Although I know nothing about zebras (cause I only memorised about the rhinos), I am still very glad to join my aloe cause it's better than 发呆-ing alone! =p

Then end of duty.
Then start of the 2nd duty...

AND IT'S BLOODY FREAKING RAINING when we are doing out second duty!
And it totally did not give us a reason to hide in some shelter and therefore, cheat one duty.
We have to hide under our umbrellas (aloe forgot to bring hers, so we share) and continue doing our duty...

Poor thing hor?

Then we keep alternating between the zebra and rhinos exhibit.
And...
WE FOUND A SECRET CORNER!!
Woohoooo~
Like only a few visitors will walk by and NO ZOO WORKERS WILL SEE US!

It's awesome! =D

Anyway, my target that day was to talk to one group of people.
As little as it may sound, that's really my target!
I approached a woman in the morning duty, she rejected me.
At the secret corner during the 2nd duty, I approached a guy carrying his daughter, he say his daughter is too young to understand, and call me to wait for three more years... =.=

When aloe goes back to the zebras, I approached this group of three girls.
When I asked them if they want to know more about rhinos, I thought they would reject me.
I was a little taken aback when they say "okay"
Then when I talk to them I am like freaking nervous!

But still...
After the origin of the white rhinos' name, they are no longer interested in the conservation message... D=
I memorised so much and I only got to tell people so little!
Luckily I only spent the time on the bus to memorise, if not really waste effort!

It's okay~
I reached my target! YAY!!

I tell you one funny thing!
Got one kid thinks rhinos are hippo, one think it's elephant, and one even think that it's zebra!
Gosh, the zebra one super no link!!

Class visit to LKS's house

We went to Mr LKS' house the next saturday (19/2) after visiting LHH's house!
Met some plants at boon lay and then proceed to pioneer to meet up with the rest of the class.
Unlike the previous time, we are considered the later batch this time! D=

Waited for the remaining classmates and offff we go to LKS' house!
BH realised that both Mr Lee and Mr Lim likes to live near the mrt station! Which is quite true, and good.

They actually went to Christchurch, which is unfortunately struck by earthquake not long after we went to Mr Lim's house...

Anyway, we played three rounds too! 2 vs 1, I WON! Hohohohoho~

Then we proceed on to table tennis!
Qiyin vs ke wei (obviously he loves wii).
Table tennis in comparison to swordplay, was a lot more calm...
And less exciting...
Just, he hit, she hit back.
But swordplay is you have to use all your might to keep hitting your opponent as fast as possible!

I remembered!
I was trying to take the pictures of the players for this game!

Yx was the princess at the bottom left hand corner (gosh, like oral...), laopo is the king kong (ahaha) at the bottom right hand corner, and umairah is the one at the top right hand corner I think!
Yx got the best ranking among the four players!
And everyone (especially the boys) all say yx gamer!
Which is quite true actually, since her house got LOTS OF GAMES (wii and xbox! *jealous*) and she has three brothers!

After that, we went into the guest room to play this game which Mr Lim introduces to us!
Aloe was very sad cause she was like the only one who didn't manage to get a single set throughout the game, lol~
During the game, she thought she finally got a set, and she was sooo happy.
And I burst her bubble, pointing out that there is a missing 9!

Hehe, there is actually a reason behind it.... =p
When she said she got a set, I was so disappointed cause I was soo close to winning (she is right in front of me)!
So I checked her set to see if there is any hope for me (hehe), and there is!
WAHAHAHAHA~
After her turn, hehe, I got a set! Hohohoho~

Wa, I think she is gonna bash me when she reads this!
Cause she was quite sad about it! =p

After playing that game for sometime, we changed to cheat, then we got asked to go out to take class photo together (which we didn't at Mr Lee's house)!

Lol~ Those who don't know will think they just got married, but they are already married for a year already!

And aloe (or is it other plants?) told me the hers was the last piece!! *emo*

The honeys soon got bored and decided to play...

What are they doing?

Trying to re-enact those idol drama scenes whereby the female lead's leg is injured and the male lead lets the female step on his feet and they dance, I guess! =p

After taking this picture, aloe volunteered to help us take!

Hehehe, while aloe is about to snap, I decided to do a peace sign, but I think I am too slow, and thus resulted in my "rainbow twist" =p

Then, we decided to get intimate...

Judging from how happy I smiled and how shoik laopo looked while leaning on me you should know that we are a very loving couple! =p

Class visit to LHH's house (II)

Hello people!
Sugarcane is back for the second installation of the "Class visit to LHH's house" trilogy!

So I stopped at waiting at this place...

Ok, after waiting for some time, we decided to move forward a little as some of them did!
And we found a playground!
YAYYYYYY!!

Since the class is waiting, I thought that we could play a little there!
Therefore, kwanghui and I ran to the playground and ya, ahaha

But when we just managed to climb up the playground, the class started moving already... =.=

That ended our short meeting with the playground! D=

TA-DA!!!!

Anyway, just a little sidetrack...
Because we go as a whole bunch (20/30odd people), obviously not ALL of us can squeeze into a lift right?
So we have to go up in "batches"
Just nice cause we have 7 person (yeah~), we go up as a batch.
Just nice suey suey none of us went to his house before and of course none of us know which damn floor Mr Lee stays in.
Kwanghui asked the guys and the guys told us 13th floor.
And we happily happily pressed 13th floor....
Only to find no house with lots of people on the 13th floor.....

The horrible checkup

28th Feb 2011, the day when I gave my many "first"...

On the last day of February, ah ma and I decided to go Jurong Medical Centre to do the medical checkup required by SP (damn you!) enrolment...

As sua ku as I may sound, despite living in Jurong and going to Jurong Point for countless times, this is actually the first time I am visiting Jurong Medical Centre!
And the first time doing a, erm, sort-of full medical checkup...

Ok, it's not sua ku, it's just because I am a healthy sugarcane! =D

Well, not so healthy actually... =.=

I We reached there around 2.10pm (I was late! T.T), thinking that there won't be a lot of people...
At least that's the case for me...
I totally did not expect THAT many people and happily thought that by 3pm + everything should be completed already...

So, there is actually a "booth" for all the SP and NYP students!
You see, I don't really have any classmates going to NYP, that's part of the reason why I did not expect that number of people too!

All we need to go is to fill up our medical report form and "throw" in into the tray and wait patiently for our names to be called.....
While waiting, as there are no more seats, we just went to walk around Jurong Medical Centre!
Initially, we were just measuring our BMI (we are both healthy plants that falls in the low risk range! =D), but then this uncle working there approached us and asked if we wanna play wii!

Surprisingly, ah ma has never played wii before! (she needs to go yx's house man~ LOTS OF GAMES THERE!)
So, we decided to try!

Played tennis! 3 vs 2!
ME WIN!! *crowd claps*
Thank you thank you!

Then, we rushed back to the booth because we were scared that we would miss our turn!
But, we didn't!
So, if we didn't go and play wii, we would be standing there like an idiot for, like 40+ mins!
When she called our names, it's already close to 3pm! x.x

We paid for the thingy and were given a bottle to take our urine sample...
Initially when I was sitting on the toilet bowl, I had totally no idea how to do it...
But I sort-of figured out a way in the end! *phew*
But everything is just so awkward! I refused to let ah ma see my (urine) sample! =p

Then we waited for the X-ray...
We were brought to this room which was separated into two with this curtain.
Ah ma was at the inner half while I am at the outer half.
And guess what we have to do?
TAKE OFF OUR SHIRTS AND, ehem, 内在美 (i.e. bra)

Nonono, it doesn't end here!

After taking off everything on top, we had to...

Wear this piece of blue surgical clothing...
What you thinking?! Ai yo~ =p

Although we have this piece of clothing, which is heng-ly not transparent, covering our upper half of the body, I still feel very awkward and exposed!
Cause there are nothing inside you see....... =x

We were then brought into another room, where the x-ray will be done!
The position we have to do it also very weird....
Chin up and hands on the waist....
Lol~

Changed, and went up to 2nd storey to see the doctor...

Measured height and weight there!
Omgomgomg, I am 49.5kg!!!
Wheeeeeee~
I know, it's heavy, but at least I am no longer in the 50kg and above range! =D
That is provided I don't eat a lot to gain back that 0.5kg.....

I am 1.63m! =D

And ah ma grew, by 2cm!
Lol~ Chin woen is going to be so sad!

After the eye test and measuring of BP, we have to wait for the doctor...

While waiting, ah ma was rather worried that she would kana blood test as the nurse mentioned that if the BP is above 140, the person will need to do blood test!
And ah ma's is 138, which is, quite dangerous...

And we waited and waited...
So bored that we did this...

And when we are taking this picture, a guy walked past us....

Wait until like 4.50pm+ then my name is called...

And you know what?
I am supposed to meet yx at 4pm at JE!
Omgomgomg, I actually made her wait more than one hour!
Plus we are supposed to meet my dad at 4.45 at people's park complex, but he reached at 4.23! =.=

So, I made two person wait so long for me...
I was very anxious when I am waiting because I have like never made anyone wait for me for sooo long!
But...
Yx one still ok, cause she always make me wait for her! =p

Then I went into the room....
She just like, call me open my mouth and do those usual things lor
Then she called me to go up to the bed, and drew the curtains...
Omg, I was totally preparing for the worst! x.x

But...
Ok la, just like checking my heart beat and my stomach?
Oh, and then she suddenly wanted to erm, pull my shorts, then she cannot, cause mine is those elastic and need to tie one
She was like "erm, this is a bit tight, can you help me untie it?"
Omgomgomg, I thought what sia....
But she just pressed her hands on my tummy and asked me to breathe in and out....

Lol~
Came out, and waited for ah ma and offffff I rush to meet yx and my dad!

We actually waited 50mins + just for the doctor!
You know why?
Cause there are lots of people there but there are only one doctor!

In normal case, I would call her "damn doctor", but because she's so sweet and nice, I don't bear to you know, scold her...
Nonono, I am not les(bian)-ing on her!
Just....
Not exactly her fault...
She's the only doctor around! She also quite poor thing la...

Anyway, we are still glad that we don't have to take blood test! =D
(Ah ma went in and took bp again, 126 this time and therefore, she don't need to take blood test!)

Then took mrt to people's park complex to book our taiwan tour!
Wheeee~

I pray hard for 9 more people to join!!!!!!!!1
If not I really have to, like what my daddy always say, go to taiwan in my dreams... D=

Sugarcane is back again for more updates! =D
I have been updating regularly recently!
Any compliments for being such a good sugarcane?? *blinks eyes innocently*
=p

Ok, so today, sugarcane is gonna blog about her 4e2'10 class visit to LHH's house on 12th feb! =D
In case you don't know, LHH is a teacher named Lee Han Hwa.
He is arguably one of the most well-known teacher in hyss (second to razak I guess!) and has been a frequent winner for our school's "Best dressed male teacher" until recently a batch of new (and younger) teachers came in and snatched the award away from him. =x

He taught us E maths, A maths and Combined Chem since we are sec 3!
You know what that means?
It means SEEING HIM EVERY SINGLE BLOODY DAY AT SCHOOL!
Serious, will get tired of him one...

And he will always throw us assignments and tests as well as make us stay back for supp and all!
*sobs* 我命好苦啊~

Ahahaha~

But he is not THAT bad la.
At least he is kinda funny, always telling us the stupid things he do!
And I have to admit that he is quite nice to our class!
He won't really check if we have done the homeworks he gave, will buy us things (like oranges, kiwis, ribena), have never really scolded the class before even though we sort of scolded him quite a few times (in front of him one hor! Like "OIII", "Wa lao, everytime like that!" when he say got supp =p)
Yes, all these despite his stern appearance and fierce-ness when dealing with some other students!
I actually do believe that we may be one of his favourite class during his, like 10+ years of teaching!

And I guessed I managed to get better results for my maths after being taught by him!
Eh! My maths was C5 was I was in the hands of Mr Leow hor! =.=

Okok, so on 12th feb, we went to LHH's house as a like, cny visit.
Actually, they already did this last year, but I didn't join them last year!
So since this year is like the last year, I guess I should go and ~~be a kpo and see how their house look like~~ join the class

After going to her house, we went for a mini shopping trip at NEX!

A small section of the "garden" outside my house...
We have one whole stretch of plants outside our house, cause my dad has got green fingers!
He loves planting! Lol~

And we actually have quite a number of aloe veras (AHH YII~)

Guess why I tell you we have aloe veras?

Cause....

Yes, aloe vera! Bear flowers! Lol!
I didn't know it do too initially, until like last year when it flowers for the first time!
I was soooo amazed! Ahahaha~

And this is not the fully developed one!

See the brown "stick" at the right hand side of the photo?
That's the withered flower of the aloe vera!
When it is fully developed, it will totally stick out in the mid-air!

But the flower isn't exactly pretty though... =p

Omgomgomg, when I was typing this, I totally forgot what the "stick" is called!
Now I know, it's flower stalk.

Went to watch It's a great great world at jp with aloe, potato, carrot and ah ma!
Ate at the kopitiam there.
Victoria ate fried hokkien mee and there were prawns in there so obviously she need to peel them.
Then.........
First time, she peel and the tail flewww to the table beside us!
Ok, let's just take it that she is careless.
She did it, AGAIN! This time right past us (we sit side by side) and flew to floor!

My left leg has this I-don't-know-what-is-it thing that has been around for like around one month!!!!!
I initially thought that it's a bruise, but it's not!
Cause at the later part, it actually started to 脱皮, and even form the shape of a rose (something like it =p) that my dad saw it and thought that I had a rose tattoo! Lol~
The good thing though is that it is already smaller than initially!
But I wonder when will it heal... D=

The first time vic and I saw HYCB on an unused white board at the air rifle room we thought it the *toot* *toot* too, ahahaha~

Anyway, on 14th Jan 2011, I went back to the band for the first time after graduating.
And just nice heng heng kana open house, wahahahaha~

At the canteen!
Usually this is where the miscellaneous clubs will have their booths at!

I went back with ah ma!
And the first place we went is to the band room, to put our bags!
But....

It was closed! *gasp*
We climbs 3 storeys only to find that it's not open!
Damnnn it!

But still, in order not to waste our trip, I made ah ma take photo with me!
WAHAHAHAHA~

Then we made our way to find the band! =D
One good thing about the band is we can always follow the sound!

Anyway, this year, band is at the hall!

I remember being at the NE gallery once!
And it was a terrible experience!
Cause not only do we have to fight with the other CCAs blasting music with SPEAKERS, we have to bear the terrible weather.
Although technically speaking, we are sheltered, but you know sometimes the sun's ray is "slanted" and how it can still shine on you despite the shelter?
*sigh*
And I think it rained that day too...

And there is another time, at the second storey of spiral staircase!
It's fully sheltered, but I hate the echo!

Despite all these shit, there is advantage of these two locations as compared to the hall!
We are more noticeable at these two locations!

When we reached there, just nice the band break!

Hello, people!!

Sugarcane is once again back to update!!!

Hehehehe, was quite lazy these few days.

Plus the things I can blog about is decreasing as not much events this month, therefore I may not update as often like the past... D=

Okay, today, sugarcane is gonna blog about the day her O level results is released!

Which is like.... *checks*

WOAH, just nice one month and one day ago! =p

So, on that day, I woke up bright and early because, ya, haha
But at least I managed to sleep!

I thought I won't be able to!!

Then prepared and all and offf to the school!

Went to the school bus stop to wait for zq, kh and yx to buy some red pens (totally regretted doing so, soooo malu!! D=) for our teachers!

While waited, I met ah ma and su ling (pure coincidence!) and also vic, bh and ah yi who went to Jurong Point to get some famous amos cookies for the teachers!

Seee! They so 有心！

What about me?! 55cents cheapstake red pens!

As carrot was the first plant to arrive after me, I wanted to take a photo with her while waiting for the other plants!

But she refused to!!! D=

And I 硬硬 took a picture with her =p

The effect turned out quite nice!

NP & SP open house

Hi people!
Here comes a proper post with pictures after sugarcane is now free to rot like hell!

Today, I am going to blog about the NP and SP open house which I went on 6th and 7th Jan respectively.

Initially, I thought I will not be able to go for neither because of my work.
But it turned out that she wrote wrongly...
So, that means I can go!
I was a little emo when I thought I cannot go for them because I see them as a outing with my plants who I have not seen for very long!
See, plants! I love you all!
Come, sugarcane give you all 爱的抱抱！
MUAHAHAHAHA!

So, on 6th, after I finished my work, I rushed home to change and then rush to SP to meet the two old ladies, ah ma and ah bu =D

By the time I reached there the two old ladies are already so familiar with the surroundings, they walk until don't want to walk already.
Cause they went there damn early because ah bu was kia su, ahahaha!

First stop was to go to my 2nd main motive for going there (1st main motive was to bully ah bu. Opps! =p), to see the new building for school of chemical and life science!
Awesome! Me will have new building to use!!
Ah ma Ah ma, happy ma? Ahahaha~
But sadly, we were not supposed to go there...
*sigh*

Then, the two old ladies were nice enough to walk with me to food court 3, which is really far away from the entrance, despite complaining of leg pain!
Cause I rushed down without eating lunch and it was 3/4pm then.
Went there to eat the nice japanese food they were praising!
And indeed, the food was awesome!
YAY!!
I am so gonna have good food everyday when school starts (I got into chemical engineering in SP! =D)
Burger king, 2 macdonalds, subway, starbucks
Oh me, I am sooo going to grow sideways!
But nvm, SP have gym.
That is provided if I am hardworking enough to go though...

Then after that, we went home.
Short one, cause they already walked through the entire place except for school of business.

I thought I will have to call ALL OF THEM (bh, wy, zq, yx) you know?

Then I made my way to the convention centre, where all of them are.
Just entered the hall and someone called/tapped me.
I turned.
It's aloe!!!!
Who looked very pretty that day! =DD

Nice what!!!!

And then I went to collect my goodie bag!

I remember getting this last year too!
My first thought then was "Good luck for what? We took the exams already!"
But on second thought, it is still quite relevant, cause we haven't take our results yet then!

Then, we proceed to makan place for our lunch!
And on the way...

Then... That makes vic a mistress right?

After our lunch, we went back to convention centre for the scholarship talk.
All I can remember is the highest scholarship can go up to $20,000! $_$
Such a pity me no chance.
Cause, 1st I am not in NP, 2nd I do not have excellent CCA performance nor leadership qualities!
Still, the amount is enough to get me a teeny weeny excited =p

Because the talk was kinda boring, (even wanyi who is the one who said she wanna go want to sleep), I did some random stuffs there =p

Earlier on, zq, wy, yx and ah bu attended a dream course workshop, and they helped me to take a file.
Basically tests to see what are you dream courses!

And I did the test while the scholarship talk is ongoing =p

Ok, so it's cny eve today!

Yesterday, I finally ended my work!
Yay!!!!

Anyway, this is my third job...
In the past 2 jobs, although I was in the service line (that is like the only kind of job i can do now...), I was quite isolated from all the nasty, irritating and demanding customers.
Like the first job, promoter at orchard, like all have complains about nasty customers but I did not really meet any
And the second job, didn't meet any really nasty customers too...

But this time, I met.
Not just one or two, but quite a few

Some are like, just stupid la
Scold/misunderstand us for nothing....
It's THEIR FAULT, but they say until like it's our fault!

Like that time, the guy said something like "不要入袋，我要分开"
Which made me really blur because I can't understand what he is trying to say.
Then I huh him lor
And he was like "现在的年轻人，全部不会讲华语，都讲英语"
My colleague (experienced one) like settled for me and said happy new year to the guy
The guy said "很难happy, 现在的年轻人全部不讲华语"

?!?!?!?!
我不讲华语？！
我超爱讲华语的好吗？！

It's not like I can't speak/understand chinese, it's just your last line confused me!
In the end he was just trying to say that he don't want the bag... =.=

I was so pissed...
Cause he anyhow say me!

Then also another one, there was some confusion over the order part and then the customer was kinda pissed off cause that means she will have to wait even longer (quite a lot of people).
After we got it right and I pass her order to her, she said "sorry ah, cannot make it ah, you all"

Not really our fault ya??
Her demand is like, not logical at all. It's WEIRD!

CA training

Yeah~ Sugarcane is back again!!

Today, sugarcane shall blog about the CA training way back in 11/12/10!
Actually, we have TWO CA trainings, but the first time I thought it would be like a lot of teaching behind closed doors and there will be nothing much to take pictures of, therefore I didn't bring the big and heavy dslr of my daddy's.
But I regretted like hell after the training because there are actually LOTS to take pictures of!!!
And on the second training, I am very determined to bring the camera and take down all the cute and interesting and random things there even though it is really VERY HEAVY!

And that's why there are these pictures below!!
See, I so 辛苦 then got these pictures one leh!!

However, I won't upload ALL the pictures here.
Cause there are like 144 pictures!
If I am going to blog about them all I guess I would need the whole day!

Ok la, I admit to making this mistakes as well...
Probably cause it has been SOOO long since I last came to zoo and we are surrounded by too many fake things =p

The last two are stuffed, they are dead.

After a short briefing on what is going to happen that day, we went to our first stop...

Wildlife healthcare and research centre!
Which is basically zoo's hospitals for the animals!

Then we came to this room.
The room where dead animals will be cut open (解剖, don't know the term in english =p) to see their cause of death and blah blah blah

For someone who teared when her biology teacher cut open a pig/sheep's heart in front of her, I am quite surprised I don't really feel scared or sad.
More of excited/interested.

Have I overcome-d it???
Oh yeah~ So my choice of putting biomedical science in the second choice is right?
Ahahahahaha

Ok, just a warning.
The pictures below may be quite disgusting, so if u have a weak heart or like me u cannot tahan this kind of things u may either want to stop reading or skip.

A preserved goat's fetus (?)

Preserved parasitic worms found in the animals' body.

I am not sure what are these exactly, but I guess we all have a rough idea...

And the person who brought us around opened the "big fridge", where the recently dead animals were kept

Oh, and because there is where all the dead animals have been, there is this stench there and the stench is worse when she opened the "big fridge"
But thanks god, I have nose block that day!
Means I was in there like a happy kid learning new stuffs while others are trying to bear with the stench!

This is where yx and I spent most of our time there, weighing ourselves and our things, lol~

And there, they have samples of the parasitic worms and the names, where it is found and all

Humans are mammals! Omgomgomgomg, I hope I don't have them! *scared*

And what I think is the most disgusting of all worms there...

Then, LUNCH BREAK!
Yeah~
But go there only can eat KFC cause all the other things are expensive (like I always tell the plants, things in these places are meant to hack the money out of foreigners =p)

And while walking to KFC, we saw this cute little thing...

After our lunch break, we will have to go for our test...
On the way, we saw another thing...

Orang-utans CLIMBING ON TOP OF US!
Cause we are at this area whereby the orang utans will not be enclosed in their enclosure and can climb on the vines etc above us!

I am glad it did not pee on me.
If not, no matter how cute it is, I will hate it! =p

And we reached reptile garden, where we will have our test.
Ok, the test is basically, each group of 6 will be assigned some animals and within the group, we choose the animals we wanna talk about (notes on ALL the animals were sent to us beforehand, but I only read on rhinos and so heng-ly our group did not kana rhino D=).

Aloe chose king cobra, yx chose banded gila monster, I chose alligator snapping turtle because I had a deep impression of this turtle.

So, we are supposed to talk about the animal for 3 minutes and spread the conservation message for that particular animal!

On the way to snake house (where the animals our group are assigned with are)...

And my alligator snapping turtle!!
Big right? It can weigh up to 99.5 kg leh!! (The largest already, I think)

Just wanna say, if you happen to go zoo and see this thing, please don't happily think that it is turtle therefore it is gentle and harmless.
It is HELL NOT!

This thing is super aggressive and is basically a carnivore cum scavenger!!!!!!

I don't know why so many people think that it is harmless despite it's scary appearance!
Like got parents carry their child up to get closer to this turtle (there is a like barrier there) and got children trying to step on the barrier.
Stupid la can?
Everytime I see people there I get so scared!
Then when I see them trying to do so I will go up to them and tell them that the turtle is very aggressive.
But I am wearing home clothes, which means they do not know that I have knowledge on the turtle and that I am a conversation ambassador, so there is this little boy who, after I told him that the turtle is aggressive, still tried to ge kiang and step on the barrier!
So pek cek can?
I am trying to prevent your fingers from breaking (yes, if this turtle bites your finger your bones WILL break! That's the reason why it's call alligator SNAPPING turtle!) and there you are, not appreciating my efforts!
GO DIE!!

And the worst thing is...

It DO stick its mouth out of the water!
Means even if your finger did not go into the water and is just above the water your finger can still kana snapped!

And when you see it opening its mouth and staying at a position without moving, all the more you shouldn't put your finger above the water.
Cause it means it's hungry, this is their way to luring their prey!

The heng thing is, this bloody turtle is not native to singapore! Thank god!

Oh, talking about snakes, I remember the first time I went to snake house I was freaked out because there is one sector named "Singapore snakes"
Obviously in the sector is all the snakes that can be found in singapore!
ONE WHOLE SECTOR OF SNAKES THAT CAN BE FOUND IN SINGAPORE!!!
Omg omg omg!
And if I didn't remember wrongly, king cobra can be found in singapore as well!

Then it made me so terrified!
Because the zoo is a little like jungle, so every 风吹草动 (slightest change in my surrounding(?)) I will go "WA-TA!"
Just joking...
But I really went on ninja mode!
Everytime got anything brush against me or whatever I will make sure it is really just 风吹(wind blow) and 草动 (grass move).

Despite all these, there is an animal in there which made me go crazy (in a good way)!

SQUIRREL MONKEYS!!!
They are so cute, small, agile and they are not scared of people and cameras!!!

And I saw one of them stretching!
REALLY!! Not only I saw it, another girl, hwee chi (?) saw it too!
And we both screamed like fangirls!!!!
BUT I DIDN'T MANAGE TO TAKE THE PICTURE CAUSE I WAS TOO SLOW!!!!

And I didn't manage to take a picture of it's full length including the head because somehow it decided show its pretty butt (do they even have butt??) to me.

But because of global warming there may be an unequal sex distribution... *sigh*

Throughout the two trainings I didn't get the chance to sit on it, NOT EVEN ONCE despite staying there for like almost the whole day D=
Everytime see it drive past me I would have the urge to sit on it, but, cannot! D=

Giraffe!
They are really freaking tall in real life!!
I think I am just the length of their legs! D=

You know the milk advertisement that goes "I want to grow, I want to grow grow grow" with giraffe on their bottle/container?
That milk company went to adopt a real giraffe and named it growie!

Growie is the one in the middle, with the darkest spots!
And it's the only male in the enclosure! The two beside him are both females!

Why become like that?
Because it has got nothing to do therefore it keeps like pecking itself and pulling the feathers out.

There is a bit of link between the milk company adopting that giraffe, but KFC adopting zebras?

Or, KFC just wanna adopt zebras, for no reason?

No, I am not trying to be pervertic by taking it's butt.
It's just, the first time we went there if you see from this angle the legs of the zebras are so freaking nice!

This don't know what meekcat or leek cat is the second because it do guard duty (serious!) and while on guard duty it will stand up, squat down, stand up, squat down.
SO FREAKING CUTE!!!
But second time go there didn't manage to see it!!

Anyway you see the mud pact on the rhinos?
Well, they are not dirty mud patch, it's a wound sealed with mud to keep the medicine in place.

"Wound? Rhinos? In the zoo?"

Culprit?

CROWS!

Crows peck on rhinos' back to pick out all the parasitic worms and blah blah blah on the rhinos' back.
However, the crows in the zoo tend to overdo it, causing one hole with blood gushing out on the rhinos' back!
Stupid crows!!!!
Sounds painful ya? But the rhinos are quite tolerant of them because they have thick skin.

Still, crows sucks!!!
My poor rhinos! *sayangs*

But the verdict remains, crows sucks!

And this I don't know what it's called animal actually lives with the rhinos in the same enclosure!
Surprising ya?

This poor thing actually broke one of it's horn and now it's only left with one!
But still, both yx and I agreed that it's a handsome animal who walks like a model!
Really! Like catwalk! Very graceful! Lol~

Sadly, I failed the test because I was too nervous D=
Went back for retest and I was nervous, STILL!
But our instructor/trainer 勉强 let me pass, but I am supposed to email her 10 scripts for 10 animals
I only sent her on, and completed around 5.
The due date was to email her before this year.
*sigh*

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!
The first time I see it I already have this strong urge to ride on it to tour around the zoo (it's big! Walk until your leg pain!)
But then cannot!
Somemore have to pay $5 for it, but the good thing is you can use for the whole day!

And hwee chi also wants to ride on it too!

And wanyi say we are two kids.

WHAT IS THIS?!
Wanyi says that she is a zookeeper, so it's a different story.
BUT I DON'T CARE!
Who says only kids would want to ride on this?!
They got kids size and adult size one leh!

I am gonna ride on this thing one day! *determined*
