Countdown, the sims way

Hello people!
Yes! Sugarcane is back!! *jumps around in joy*

I am typing this with a straight face again...

So today, I am gonna blog about countdown!

If not I will continue to think nobody reads my blog (although it's not like a lot reads my blog) and will think that I am a girl who constantly talks to herself in her blog and then get depressed and then close the blog.

Ya, cannot?
Okok, countdown, countdown, HAPPY?!

Ok, I am still like a girl who constantly talks to herself....
So, I came back home at around 11pm, thinking that this countdown will just be like any other...
Watch the countdown on channel 8 and shout "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" alone (cause no way my daddy will do that) and then spam in fb and twitter "happy new year"...

Me: "Daddy, I am back to countdown with you!"
*silence*
Daddy: "Countdown with me for what?"
I know, I tweeted this.
But this is to show how un-excited daddy is for countdown, and how it's like I confirm, guarantee plus chop will not have an awesome countdown with my dad.
However.....
My daddy suggested to go to the basketball court near our house!
To play....

I know, in your head now is full of question mark cause you have never saw this before.
Well, this is sort of a traditional toy.
See that stick with the rubber band there?
You use it and shoot the thing on the right (will be referred as "thingy" for the rest of the post) up into the sky, and it will fall, spinning, with the "wings" becoming helicopter-like!

And because it works like rubber band shooting, and some of you might have kana-ed before, when you shoot with rubber band, sometimes the rubber band end up hurting yourself.
I had quite a few times whereby the thing hit my hand, causing my left hand to have some minor injury. Pictures later.

Ok, it's hard to explain.

My daddy is not really satisfied at the height he shot because he saw boys shooting it even higher.

And I shall be a bad girl and show you guys a video of a failed attempt of my dad's demo.
Lol, the main purpose is to let you guys see how we can hit ourselves. D=

Yes, the one who said "FAIL" in the video is obviously me!


Then after the demo, we decided to compete on who shoot the furthest!

Ours landed on the same spot!

After SO MANY tries!!!!!!!
I thought I would not be able to win him since I am a big noobie who keeps shooting her own hands!

New one leh, will heart pain one!


And then we started to see who shoot the highest!
Ok, for this, no matter how hard I tried, I still cannot win my daddy! D=
He even taught me how to shoot you know?!
We are using the same damn shooting method leh!
We exchanged the thingy (with wings one) and even exchanged the rubber band to see whether it's because of the thingy, or the skill.
It's skill. I cannot win him!!! D=

Then randomly, I looked up.
Me: "不知道如果从很高，好像从十一楼射下来会是怎样的。。。"
Daddy: "你要不要试试看？我去十一楼射下来。"



And there you go, the video above.
I know, it's quite hard to see the thing.
Just try to focus on the purplish light.
But it's quite pretty when it falls down, just when it is very high up there, I can hardly see it.

The basketball court we played at is the RC (resident's committee), and there is sort of a mini countdown party there (consisting of one TV with the channel 8 countdown and another TV for karaoke)
My dad is an RC member (vice-chairman leh~ Lol) and there is another RC member there with her daughter
Being so forever good to other people's children, my dad gave his friend's daughter one of the thingy, in yellow!
Not being jealous or complaining here, at least he compares us to his friends' children less often already...



And this is the little girl! With her mother aka my dad's friend behind her!
Lol, she initially wanted to shoot, but she spotted my camera and decided not to!
So cute~ Camera shy, haha.
Then I told her that her face won't be seen (it's real right? It's quite dark and my hp camera is being shitty again)
And she shot! LOL~

And then after competing for a few rounds, my dad shoot the thingy again and managed to catch it as it falls!
As we are tired of constantly picking the thingy up after we shoot (Ok la, not we, is him, cause it's mostly him who pick them up =p), we decided to play it this way!
Shoot it up, and catch it! It's more fun playing this way!

And this is the injury I kana-ed that night on my left hand.
I know, not obvious/don't look serious.
But, imagine hitting myself with that thingy can hit until got injury.
That totally shows how many times I shot myself on the hand... D=

OH! I have one interesting thing to tell you guys!!

Remember the countdown party in the RC I mentioned earlier?
Well, when I looked at my watch (yes, I have a watch! =D) and saw that it is going to be 12am soon, I suggested that we go inside the RC and like countdown with them.
But, we are a tad too late.
When we got in, everybody was like "1! Happy new year!"
Wa lao.... Lol~

Ok, that's it!

I lied, I got something to announce.
I CUT MY HAIR TODAY!! SHOULDER LENGTH, BUT IT TURNED OUT QUITE SHORT!

Excited to see my new hair cut??
